This picture on the left is one of many “before” pictures. I remember taking a picture every Monday morning for MONTHS and it would be deleted before the end of the week. For some reason this one made it through undeleted and my journey actually began a short time after it was taken. I’d like to say there was some magical equation that made me follow through that last time but it really just came down to me having enough. I had enough of feeling tired, sad, disgusted with myself, unhappy with where my life was, embarrassed that I couldn’t keep up with the level of energy my daughter had and disappointed that I was not showing her the healthiest of habits. I know everyone will have different breaking points or reasons for making healthier lifestyle choices but this is the best way I can explain how I managed to get the motivation to give the #ketolife a shot and lose 114lbs.. #throwbackthursday

Chris & April McIntosh

Chris and April McIntosh had struggled with weight and dieting most of their lives, but with the help of keto and the support of each other, they were able to lose a combined 250 pounds. April lost 150 pounds, and Chris lost 100. April described their diet before keto to Men’s Health as “toddler food,” mostly eating mac-n-cheese, microwave mashed potatoes, and frozen chicken nuggets.

April researched various diets for the couple try to and was immediately draw to keto because of the structure.
